I'm trying to setup our Zenoss install to monitor our MPLS environment. We
have a managed solution with Ethernet handoff (meaning they own and manage the
router at each site). As part of our agreement they allow limited SNMP access
to the routers so we can pull performance metrics off of the interfaces. I
figured this would be a slam dunk, however while I can monitor the devices
without an issues I cannot get dependencies working. I've looked over this
http://www.zenoss.com/Members/netdata/create-manual-device-dependencys
(http://www.zenoss.com/Members/netdata/create-manual-device-dependencys)
article and have setup everything properly. I know this works since I can make
it work with a lab setup I have. After digging around for a while I notice the
interfaces on the site routers have /32 masks. It looks like this is
preventing Zenoss from seeing the site router and the fake MPLS device as being
on the same subnet. With a few phone calls I was able to get a peek at the
  routing table they are using.

        0.0.0.0/0 (None) Serial1/0:0 netmgmt direct

Anyone know of a way to either manually override the subnet mask on a device
interface or to get Zenoss to map a layer 1/2 while using the layer 3 link for
monitoring?
