I think the single greatest thing about Zenoss is that it will graph STRING values as if they are INTEGER or INTEGER64. Whatever you can throw at it in a STRING, it will work.
Here's some ideas, although they may not be elegant: 1) Modify the existing Host Resources MIB and change the INTEGER values to STRING values. If it's only for a handful of servers, this may be doable... Make sure you back it up before you do anything. for me, this MIB lives in: /usr/share/snmp/mibs/HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt You could even do a simple search and replace in the entire file, in vi: vi HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt :%s/INTEGER/STRING/g 2) Write your own snmp pass-through script and change the values to STRING. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=25720#25720 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
