Waiting for the upcoming v2.3.0 release will give you the official fixes for Vista and Windows Server 2008 monitoring.
If you are adventurous and feel like patching you can fix the low-level communication code so that it will work with these newer OSes. This will let you monitor services, etc. using the existing 2.2.4 code but won't give you any of the additional WMI or PerfMon based monitoring that is in the Enterprise version (if you are an Enterprise customer). The patch is this changeset: http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/changeset/9769 You can also download the WMI library that was built with this patch using this version: http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/browser/trunk/inst/externallibs/wmi-0.1.13.tar.bz2?rev=8639 This change was not tested much in the 2.2.x branches, but it is what it is key to be able to successfully communicate with these newer operating systems. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=25853#25853 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
