I'm currently runing Zenoss-stack 2.2.3 on Ubuntu and I'm seeing a repeating
problem editing data sources based on data collectors installed via ZenPacks.
I'm seen the problem with multiple ZenPacks, including core ZenPacks (eg
HttpMonitor), as well as ZenPacks I've built myself. I'll load the Zenpack and
configure a few templates that use the data collectors. All will be fine.
Some time later I may edit the data source and things are still fine. Some
time passes (often without a restart of Zenoss) and now I'm unable to edit the
data source. Rather I get an error implying that the edit template for the
datasource is not availiable. An example exception from the 'view details'
link on the error page is

event.log will have a similar, though longer execption as well. Stopping and
restarting zenoss does not help. Deleting the templates, removing the Zenpack,
then stopping and restarting, then reinstalling the Zenpack cures the problem,
at least for a while. But the problem comes back in a day or so. But frankly,
I'm getting tired of recreating the templates.
When this happens the actual template and data collector remain functional . I
get data, graphs, and alerts. I just can't edit the data source.
Searching the forums didn't seem to turn up anyone else reporting the problem.
