I'm not aware of any existing method to monitor Windows clients by proxy
via their Domain Controller. You MIGHT be able to build something, but
it would be a bunch of work.
If you create a domain service account with Admin privs, or the required
privs listed in the forum (search for discussions on limited priv zenoss
accounts), you'll be able to use Ping Monitoring (assuming you're not
dropping pings internally) and WMI. You would need to enable SNMP for
the SNMP data from each individual computer. In your case, I'd try one
of the WMI Zenpacks rather than installing Informant on all Windows clients.
So, to summarize, you'd need to enable / install SNMP on each Windows
client you want to fully monitor. You may be able to deploy this with
your software deployment tools, or using Group Policy.
