We have a Juniper Netscreen device and on the Trust ->Untrust policy, logging is enabled.
Now the amount of log entries the device can hold is only about 5 mins. I forwarded the events via the Syslog setting on the Netscreen to Zenoss and seemed like everything was good to go. After about 3 hours, the Zenoss event log had several thousand events, but was 2.5 hours behind. I turned off log forwarding on the Netscreen and now several hours later, Zenoss is ever so slowing still writing events. I felt pretty good just getting my feet with the Regex stuff now I'm drowing in log entries. The EventClass Mappings I set up mostly work, but what is the deal with the slow writing of events?
