I compared the /net/link/snmp_linkdown event with one of my other installs and
it was different:
evt.component = getattr(evt, 'ifIndex', 0)
evt.component = getattr(evt ,'ifDescr', evt.component)
Now I can use ${evt/component} with no issue.
