I've made good progress with a Nagios style plugin and zencommand.
I'm collecting data.
My first graph looks incorrect, though. :-(
It's more a Line than an Area.

I've created a Nagios style plugin.
I've tested with host "batty"
I can see the value of "35" in the response when running the plugin from the
command line

Code:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] libexec$ /opt/zenoss/libexec/pmc_lsload_check.perl --host
batty
batty ok 1.1 0.0 0.0 35% 0.0 1 56000 9296M 32G
15G|ut=35;;;;
[EMAIL PROTECTED] libexec$

I can see the rrd file created in /opt/zenoss/perf/Devices/batty/
I can see the results of the plugin correctly when I run zencommand from the
command line

Code:

zencommand run -d batty -v10

and I have restarted zencommand. I am getting data (which is great!). I'd
like to get my first graph (from the first data point) working correctly, then
set up a MultiGraph Report per
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.2.4/ch22s07.html

My first graph does not display an Area with 35 percent of the graph covered.
I have some sort of scale incorrect. I took a screen capture and posted it
here:
http://www.zenoss.com/Members/david_sloboda/20081031-lsfvalues.png/view
My attempt is called ut-graph and shows up as the thick blue line, not a shaded
blue area.

from /Devices /Server /Linux /RHEL4 /batty /Templates /lsload /ut-graph
/ut

Name: ut
Type: DataPoint
DataPoint: status_ut
Consolidation: AVERAGE
RPN:
Limit: -1
Line Type : Line
Line Width: 20
Stacked: True
Color (Hex value RRGGBB) : 0000FF
Format: %5.2lf%s
Legend:         ${graphPoint/id}
Available RRD Variables None

I've looked at the FAQ and the wiki. I've read
http://www.zenoss.com/community/wiki/tips-and-tricks/CreatingCustomCalculatedGraphsBasedOnMultipleDataPoints/
and
http://www.zenoss.com/community/wiki/tips-and-tricks/CreatingDataSourcesGraphsWithAnExampleOfCOMMANDIPSLA/
but I'm not able to solve my problem from looking at them.

Thanks in advance for any help!
