Do you mean remove *.zec files from zenoss/var dir? If yes then it had no effect in my case :( the procedure was: 1. stop zenoss 2. remove zec files (I found zeo1-1.zec and zenhub-1.zec) 3. start zenoss
Tried to remove both and one by one - no luck. I must say that all this is walking in the dark.
