Hi all, I'm just evaluating Zenoss at the moment, and need some help with setting up process monitoring ...
If I have more than one process on my Linux (Redhat 5) operating system that look like this : /dr01/oe101c_64/bin/_progres -pf [bunch of parameters] And I want to monitor them, how do I set up Zenoss Core (2.2.4) to achieve this? If I go to "Classes->Processes->AddProcess" what do I put for ID? Any string at all? If I choose, for example, "progres" as my ID, then click on this object, the regex is set to "progres" by default. I want to set the regex to look for the processes as shown above, so I edit the object, and am shown the following fields : Name Regex Ignore Parameters What do I put in these fields? I guess Ignore Parameters is "true", and I leave the Name alone, so how would I enter the correct regex to trap the process string? The next step is to go to the device, OS tab, "Add OS process" and then restart Zenoss to make the changes take effect? Thanks in advance ... -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=27424#27424 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
