Hello Jason,
there are some mistakes in how you install MIBs.
1. set the following environment-variable "SMIPATH" in your profile
.bashrc or .profile in $ZENHOME
Code:
export
SMIPATH=/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs:/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/iana:/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/ietf:/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/irtf:/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/site:/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/tubs
2. Delete all MIBs you have installed within the Line in your "zenmib
-run"-command, for example SNMPv2-SMI.mib, INET-ADDRESS-MIB.mib,
SNMP-VIEW-BASED-ACM-MIB etc. (maybe delete all installed MIBs and try it new)
3. Compare the Names of the dependencies-MIBs in the Source-Code of your
device-special-MIB wich you at least will install (example:
SNMP-VIEW-BASED-ACM-MIB) with the pre-installed "Standard-MIBs" in
/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/iana, /usr/.../mibs/ietf,
/usr/.../mibs/irtf, /usr/.../mibs/tubs
These Mibs in these paths are included automatically. For example the file
SNMPv2-SMI.mib is with the right Name SNMPv2-SMI (without ending .mib) in the
path "/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/ietf" so you doesn't need to include
this MIB in your "zenmib -run"-Line.
!Look there and compare first!
Copy only the MIBs wich are special to your device in the path:
"/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/site"
4. Make the symbolic Link "share" and "libexec" from $ZENHOME to
"/usr/local/zenoss/common/share"
and
"/usr/local/zenoss/common/libexec"
with group="zenoss" and owner="zenoss"
Retry to install
Hope this will help you
Dietmar[/code]
