Hi All, I'm new to this forum and as my first post, I would like to inquire regarding a problem I'm encountering on Zenoss 2.2.4 virtual appliance. I recently downloaded and put into test the said Zenoss version. From my test, everything works well except the email notification. I am trying to use our internal Exchange server 2003 as the smtp server. On Zenoss settings I've entered the hostname/fqdn of the said smtp server as well as the necessary "from" email address which also exist on the said server. But when I tried to test it, I'm getting this message "Test failed: socket.gaierror (-2, 'Name or service not known')". I tried to telnet on the smtp of the exchange server coming from the Zenoss machine and I can successfully access the exchange smtp as well as send emails using telnet smtp commands. And of from the zenoss machine, I can properly resolved the hostname of the server. What are the possible solution to this problem? Do I need to configure on the postfix configuration t hat comes with the virtual machine, or any other configuration for that matter. Tnx in advance
