I run into something similar when I've installed from the RPM. On the first run I get:
Zenoss not initialized. Performing first-boot initialization... Stopping snmpd: [ OK ] Starting snmpd: [ OK ] Stopping MySQL: [ OK ] Starting MySQL: [ OK ] Starting Zope Object Database daemon process already running; pid=3170 Loading initial Zenoss objects into the Zeo database (this can take a few minutes) Where it hangs. If I CTRL-C out of it, after waiting an hour, I get the following: unable to create the initial Zenoss object database Zenoss initialization complete. su: warning: cannot change directory to /home/zenoss: Permission denied -bash: /home/zenoss/.bash_profile: Permission denied /opt/zenoss/bin/zenoss: line 38: cd: /root: Permission denied There appears to be something very wrong with the initialization. I have followed the installation guide to the letter. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=27703#27703 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
