Hi, I'm monitoring some Linux servers using ssh (username/passw) and the collectorplugins. This works fine for most severs.
For 2 of the Linux servers this doesn't seem to work. When I start an SSH connection from the zenoss server terminal "ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED]" I can login without trouble. I have used the same username and password in the Zproperties. The zenmodeler : 2008-11-20 18:49:38 INFO zen.Utils Executing command: /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/bin/zenmodeler run --now -F -d sever --weblog 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler Connected to ZenHub 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler Collecting for device server 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler No WMI plugins found for server 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler No Python plugins found for server 2008-11-20 18:49:40 ERROR zen.ZenModeler Found the protocol ssh 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler Using SSH collection method for device server 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler plugins: zenoss.cmd.uname 2008-11-20 18:49:40 INFO zen.ZenModeler SNMP monitoring off for server .... It should run more plugins than just the cmd.uname. It seems like there is no ssh connection made at all. In the authentication log of the Linux servers itself there is no sign of a ssh login attempt from Zenoss. Therefore I suspect there is a problem with the ssh keys. I've tried deleting the ~./ssh/known_hosts file for the zenoss user and root. But zenoss zenmodeler probably stores these keys somewere else. Does anyone know where these are stored, so I can try deleting them or has a suggestion for this issue. Any help is appreciated. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=28031#28031 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
