We have an HA pair of netscalers and I chose not to go down the python script route.
We have some rudimentary monitoring / alerting based on event transforms. Basically we listen to the traps, look for an "entity_down" or "entity_up" event which relates to either a virtual server or one of the virtual server's services check failing. We parse the trap, grab the entity's name and assign that to the component that is either going up or down and then set severity based on component.. as I said, pretty basic "up/down" notifications. We also pull some virtual server statistics, but since those oids are tied to the name of the virtual servers, they don't translate into zenpacks very well. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=28370#28370 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
