Make sure your snmpd.conf has rocommunity public in it somewhere and if you have com2sec entries make sure you're giving permissions to your local ip addresses, ala: com2sec paranoid localhost public com2sec readonly 192.168.0.0/16 public com2sec readwrite localhost private Until I added rocommunity public mine wasn't working either.
