the docs are refering to a system user (I beleive w/o knowing what you are looking @) you could always try the stack installer, the events db doesnt have to be that large and its lible to perform better local... A big plus to the stack is its easy to install & upgrade. i did the source thing for a while and it was fine, but the stack is great :)
