You're heading down the path of madness :)

Zenoss currently runs on Zope 2.8.8 because of some changes that were  
made in 2.8.9 that altered the way permissions work.  We have  
attempted to upgrade before, but we're currently stuck on 2.8.8.  At  
some point we're going to have to try to move forward again, since  
we're stuck on an old Zope and an old Python because of this.
