Recently we upgraded to Zenoss 2.3 from Zenoss 2.2.3. Previously we were using some simple REST/XML-RPC calls from a couple different applications. One is the ZenTrayIcon and the other is custom internal application. They used URLs that were previously anonymously accessible.
For example: http://<zenoss-server>/zport/dmd/ZenEventManager/getEventSummary http://<zenoss-server>/zport/dmd/ZenEventManager/getDeviceStatusIssues Now these requests redirect you to the login page. I also tried embedding login information in the URL but I am still redirected to the login page. I'm not sure if this might be related to the security fix detailed at http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?t=7906.
