if you modify the snmp_walk command to be:

snmpwalk -v1 -c${device/zSnmpCommunity} ${here/manageIp}:${device/zSnmpPort}
system
should work much better for you.
by the way it might be useful to change the default command shipped w/ zenoss
to this...
