If the target is running SNMP then it will provide Zenoss with this information, and more, when probed. If it's not running SNMP, or some other agent that can provide info, there's no way for Zenoss -- or anything else -- to determine this kind of info. So if you have SNMP running on all your systems, and allow read-access to your zenoss server, you should get good info.
