I followed the directions for setting up LDAP authenticationfor Zenoss, it
worked ok, but it was hammering the LDAP server, sometimes as many as 10-20
times per page load. It was also making the interface noticeably slow. I
followed the directions to turn on caching, but it didn't seem to be having any
affect. I dug a little deeper into the problem and it seems that the manager
id in OFS.Cache wasn't staying set. I could watch it be set when I would
associate, but the value would magically disappear. Finally I put in a dirty
hack and just hard coded the value for the cache manager id. This works, but
it's not the way things are supposed to work. Any ideas why this might be
happening?
