I am running v2.3 on SUSE Enterprise 64 bit within a ESX 3.5 VM. I currently have 672 devices being monitored across our network and not yet fully populated. The server seems to gradually increase its memory use after a reboot to the point where the server starts to loose the plot and starts flagging devices offline. Last night I restarted it before going home from work and this morning I had over 200 emails telling me devices had gone down then recovered. There are gaps in the monitoring graphs for hous at a time. The server becomes unusably slow in the web interface.
I started out with 2Gb on the VM but had to increase this to 4Gb pretty quick. I have just increased this to 6Gb to see how I go. I also started with 2 CPU's but reducing it down to 1 seemed to speed things up. Tried allocating the VM to a single CPU but the CPU doesn't seem to be a major issue. This is getting ridiculous. Our test 2.2.3 VM appliance is still running fine in 2Gb and a single CPU. Any suggestions? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=29286#29286 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
