hi,

is it possible to add a device multiple times or force it into multiple classes
at the same time?

We want to monitor the power consumption on all our CDUs in our datacenter. And
some CDUs are master units and some are linked as master+slave (two CDUs seen
as one).

The power consumption for the master unit has a different oid then the power
consumption of the slave unit. Thus fitting them all in one class is hard as
the oid for the slave units doesn't exists on the ones that do not have a slave
unit.

I tested a setup with two classes, one for the master+slave units, and one for
the master units. That worked fine, as long as I did not created a multigraph
report (mgr).
In the mgr, I wanted to graph the total power consumption, thus all the CDUs
together on one graph. I included all CDUs, but zenoss also tried to get some
data from the slave units on the single CDU's, giving errors on the graph.

i also tried to separate the master and the slave units. But you can't add a
device twice. That didn't work either.

In fact, I want to create one MGR of two types of devices. One with only one
OID, and the other one with two OIDs. Without giving errosr. Until now, I did
not succeed in this.
Does anyone has an idea how to solve it or if it even is possible?
