Here's the update/solution to this, in case somebody is looking for it someday...
I put a working zCommandUsername and zCommandPassword in the zProperties for the /Device/Server/ESX class, and then started getting another error: "The command /usr/sbin/vdf -k returned stderr data (1) from the device: Unknown option: k". I logged into the ESX shell and confirmed that the -k option is invalid. A little more digging in the VMware ESX ZenPack, and I found the command in $ZENHOME/Products/VMwareEsx/modeler/plugins/VmwareEsxDf.py... I edited the file and re-modeled the devices, and no more error events. Okay, so maybe this was more trouble than it's worth (when I could've just sent the events to the /Ignore class), but it was at least it was educational. :D -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=29754#29754 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
