OK I re-read your first post (thinking I must have missed something and I think 
i did.)

I read ...
"using asterisk as regex matches every process"

and not ...
"using asterisk as regex matches every process where the word asterisk occurs."


DOH! too much coffee:wink:

if asterisk matches every process containing "asterisk" (as it should)  what 
are the "extra" processes that you are not wanting to match?

I think I may have run into this before, the only regexs I have that start with 
^ start ^.*

I'm gonna do a little testing ot see if maybe something is broken or just not 
getting parsed.
