I realize this is more of an snmp question than Zenoss, but figured someone
might have run across this previously....

I'm trying to monitor individual vmware-vmx processes on a VMWare 2.0 (not GSX)
server running linux kernel 2.6.24.

The configuration name falls after a series of other parameters. IE..

Code:
root      6034  9.8 17.4 511716 294172 ?       SNsl Jan01 916:38
/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-vmx -# product=2;name=VMware
Server;version=2.0.0;buildnumber=122956;licensename=VMware GSX Server for
Linux;licenseversion=3.0 build-122956; -@
pipe=/tmp/vmhsdaemon-0/vmx6193d7d48f355db5;readyEvent=55
/var/vms/baragon/Ubuntu.vmx

However, hrSWRunParameters values are dramatically truncated, yielding only..

Code:
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSWRunParameters.6034 = STRING: "-# product=2;name=VMware
Server;version=2.0.0;buildnumber=122956;licensename=VMware GSX Server for
Linux;licenseversion=3.0 buil"

Without the vmx config file info, I'm unable to create Process regex's to pick
up the vmware processes individually (I can monitor the vmware-vmx processes
aggregately, but that's not what I'm trying to acehive).

Anyone have any thoughts on how to expand hrSWRunParameters visibility?
Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can switch the vmx config file location
around in the parameter line.

TIA,
Mike
