You're dead right, I should have mentioned zensendevent and I have now added it in.
I originally thought that it didn't populate the message field, only the summary field, but I now think that in fact the GUI populates the summary, rather than the message and, in fact, the 2 options do exactly the same thing. Incidentally, the other reason for just sticking with the GUI was that I really wanted to populate the agent field and it looked like neither option was configurable. Having learned a little about Python since then, I have just proved that I can very easily extend the zensendevent command to include other fields too.
