Hi I was wondering if somebody has a good suggestion to the best (and simplest) way of monitoring if a server has booted. We have a lot of virtual server which are so fast at booting that zenoss doesn't notice it, but I'd like to know when a boot has occurred so I can catch repetitive booting.
I was considering using sysUptime gathered via SNMP, but after having thought it over, it may not be the best way anyways. 99.5% of our servers are either solaris, linux or freebsd. Examples are more than welcome :-) Thomas Zenoss 2.3.2 -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=30418#30418 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
