Massimo,

try a downgrade to autoconf-2.59-r7.

If that alone doesn't help, get a copy of Zenoss 2.2.4, extract the wmi 
distribution contained in it (externallibs/wmi-0.1.12), copy it to your copy of 
2.3.2, and update the top-level GNUmakefile to use it (instead of the newer 
wmi-1.1.8).

After compiling zenoss, you can upgrade autoconf again.

Did work for me.
