i´m just trying to work in to zenoss. i just made some tests to model an
device via ssh.

do i understand it right that "os processes" cannot be monitored with ssh per
default? my example: i added the cupsd process and started/stoped it on my
test-device.

when i "re/modeled" the device manually, the state on/down-state from cups is
shown correctly. but no monitoring of the process: neither an event is thrown
when the process is down nor is the state of the process updated automatically.
then i saw that these OSProcesses are handled by the deamon "zenprocess", but
"zenprocess" just recognize the "os processes" at the snmp-able-machines and
not on my device that is accessed via ssh.

i´m just wondering about that and want to know if someone can confirm my
understanding described above or i´m wrong?

thanks :)
