I haven't seen any Zenpacks for Redback devices, so it's not going to be plug and play. Zenoss only uses MIBs for translating SNMP Traps, so unless the monitoring you want is events generated by the Redback sending a Trap to Zenoss, your MIBs won't help.
Take a look at the Zenoss book, good overview for new users. Also, look at chapter 13 in the Admin Guide: http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.2.4/ch13.html (or your version of Zenoss) for info on creating templates using OIDs etc. You'll need to read the MIBs, perhaps with the MIB Browser Zenpack, or MIB browser of choice to figure out what you can get out of your devices, and you'll want to get familiar with snmpwalk to play around with getting the data you want. -- James Pulver Information Technology Area Supervisor LEPP Computer Group Cornell University rvengelen wrote, On 2/13/2009 8:14 AM: > Hi All, > > I'm pretty much a newbie to Zenoss en SNMP monitoring, so please bear with > me.
