I am trying to debug and weird issue. When I try to load a certain MIB (ZenOss
2.3.2, Ubuntu 8.10 Server), I get zero errors and everything looks fine. Here
is the output:

Code:

/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/bin/zenmib run
/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/site/UMS-MIB.mib UMSASSETID-MIB.mib
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/ietf/.index
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/iana/.index
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/irtf/.index
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING-TYPES
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING-EXTENSIONS
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/tubs/.index
INFO:zen.zenmib:Loaded mib UMS-MIB
INFO:zen.zenmib:Loaded mib UMSASSETID-MIB

When I go into the MIBs area of the web console, UMS-MIB looks perfect. 19
nodes, 0 notifications. UMSASSET-ID-MIB shows in the DMD, but shows 0 for both.

I ran a zenmib run -v10 to get more output and still no errors. I took the
last command in the debug output and tried that:

Code:
DEBUG:zen.zenmib:running smidump -fpython -p
"/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/ietf/RFC-1212" -p
"/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1155-SMI" -p
"/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1158-MIB" -p
"/usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/../common/share/mibs/ietf/RFC-1215" -p
"/usr/local/zenoss/common/share/mibs/site/UMS-MIB.mib" "UMSASSETID-MIB.mib"
2>/dev/null
INFO:zen.zenmib:Loaded mib UMSASSETID-MIB

I tried running the smidump command without the 2>/dev/null on the end to see
what would come up. I got a well formatted SMI dump of the MIB with zero
errors.

Anyone have any ideas?
Does anyone know how to take a good SMI dump file and force that into the DMD?

Thanks in advance
James
