Iâm currently polling the switchport operational status of our Cisco switches âifOperStatusâ. Iâve created a threshold of max 1. So when a port changes to state down an event is created.
I just want to keep the events that are for switch ports with a specific description (we have unmanageable switches connected to certain ports). I thought the best way to do this is to map the event to an event class and edit the transform section of that mapping. The interface name is already in the component field of the event like âFastEthernet0/2â but were can I get the interface description (that zenmodeler collected) and how can I transform the events who meet these criteria and discard those that do not meet them.
