I have a remote box that is only accessible via the internet. This is a CentOS 5.2 box running ssh on a special port (not 22).
I followed the following instructions in the Admin Guide --> http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.3.0/ch10s13.html : The following are snippets from the logs when I try to remodel the device: (I changed my real IP to 123.123.123.123) 2009-03-14 13:49:32 INFO zen.Utils Executing command: /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/bin/zenmodeler run --now -F -d 123.123.123.123 --weblog 2009-03-14 13:49:35 INFO zen.ZenModeler Using SSH collection method for device 123.123.123.123 2009-03-14 13:49:35 INFO zen.ZenModeler plugins: zenoss.cmd.uname 2009-03-14 13:49:35 ERROR zen.SshClient Connection was refused by other side: 111: Connection refused. I verified I can manually ssh from my Zenoss server to the remote server I want to monitor using the user name and port I specified in zProperties.. I totally removed the device from Zenoss and then readded it using port 22 (after changing the server over) and it DID work.. So my question is why is my ssh port setting be ignored? I can't be the only one running ssh on a port other than 22.. Thanks, Mark -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=32300#32300 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
