We're working on a customized check for our website, and whenever there's an
error on a page, we return a transaction ID. Does anybody have any experience
returning a non-numeric "performance data" from a nagios style check? I'd like
to get the transaction number into the alert email, or even the details for the
alert, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to trigger on a threshold
and then pass that id from the output of the check to the event handler system.

We're trying to avoid using a wrapper script as this would double the number of
system calls for the check.

Thanks for anybody's input!
