While I agree this is a great idea, it is very dependant on the template applied to the interface, for example, the patch above will only work using the ethernetCsmacd template, but most of my devices use ethernetCsmacd_64!
Could we pull a zProperty that is set in the template, something along the lines of zRRDInput and zRRDOutput, and these could specify ifInOctets or ifHCInOctets or whatever? Any Thoughts?
