I'm looking to measure the capacity of some of my servers. I've come up with a few metrics (CPU > 90%, IO Transfers > 50, and runme.exe is running on the server) but i'm not sure if I should transform events that match this criteria or have zenoss create another event (which would be better so i can pull the time from the mysql db). I've set my thresholds up on my metrics, but i'm confused from this point.
Yes i've looked at the device dependency page http://www.zenoss.com/Members/netdata/create-a-device-dependency/ but i'm confused.
