I'm running ZenOSS 2.3.3, and I'm trying to monitor the iCal TCP service running on port 8008 on my device. This is how I'm trying:
- Go to Services class - Go to IpService subfolder - From the Services menu "Add IP service..." - Name it "iCal", edit port to "8008" - Change monitor to "true" This doesn't work. ZenOSS finds no instances if I check the status tab of the service. I've tried to add the service manually to the OS tab as well. Using "Add IpService" and then selecting TCP, I can see the "iCal" service I created in the list. I select it, then click "OK" only to get this message from ZenOSS: "Could not find an IpService named iCal" So what's the deal? Is this a bug? I also found the relevant documentation not helpful. http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.3.3/ch12s02.html That documentation does not properly show how to add a TCP service as far as I can tell. Not that I'm getting it to work anyways... -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=34508#34508 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
