I have not completed my upgrade/migration yet but my plan is as the above user suggested:
1. Convert all rrd databases to xml files and move them to the new 64bits server http://foonet.be/2009/03/11/rrdtool-32bit-to-64bit/ 2. Reconvert xml files to rrd databases on the new server 3. backup all config and then upgrade to 2.1 and restore the configuration. Test if all functions and graphs works. 4. backup config and the upgrade to 2.2, same procedure as above until i reach 2.4 I am doing some dry-run tests now and when i am sure that this path will lead to a successful migration i will do it on the live server.
