I also would like to do this. Indeed, I don't think anything actually changes the green button against IpInterface?? (I have a completely down device but its IpInterface is still green).
I guess this is done in a .pt skins file somewhere? Looks like it is in /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/Products/ZenModel/skins/zenmodel/deviceStatus.pt but the part that looks like it does the component status is totally opaque to me! Does anyone have any nice samples?
