Hello ZenOSS Support Team:

I configured a linux device running Tomcat and JVM with the options below:

Code:
 export JAVA_OPTS="-Djava.awt.headless=true -server -Xms64m
-Dbuild.compiler.emacs=true -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom
.sun.management.jmxremote.port=4999
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false"

Then I configured ZenJMX to poll port 4999 on that server. Using netstat and
tailing the zenjmx.log file in the ZENOSS server I can see that the connection
to port 4999 is happening and that ZENOSS is collecting information. See below
the log lines:

Code:

2009-05-15 10:16:23 INFO zen.ZenJMX: doCollection(): running collection for
customerstaging.adomain.net
2009-05-15 10:16:23 INFO zen.ZenJMX: collectJmx(): for
customerstaging.adomain.net
service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://customerstaging.adomain.net:4999/jmxrm
2009-05-15 10:16:23 INFO zen.ZenJMX: collectJmx(): for
customerstaging.adomain.net RMI:jmxrmi:4999

com.zenoss.zenpacks.zenjmx.ZenJmxService:55 - finished processing 1 datasources

com.zenoss.zenpacks.zenjmx.ZenJmxService:55 - finished processing 4 datasources
for device customerstaging.adomain.net in 189155 ms

You can see in the image below that after 24 hours running and see the
communication going well between the servers the ZenJMX Heap graph is not
going. All other performance graph like cpu are working fine, but not the JMX.

And get this event in the zenoss events log page.
