I am attempting to continue the good fight of making a distributed environment possible utilizing Zenoss Core.
I have attempting this using the 2.4.1 Virtual Machine images in separate sites. I have not had much luck and am stuck with my remote collector unable to start most of the Daemons. I would like assistance in gathering up the knowledge available from the community and post a how to to get this accomplished. I know that there are some out there namely: http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/howtos/setting-up-multiple-zenperfsnmp-collectors-across-different-hosts I have followed these instructions to the best of my abilities but am a little thrown by some of the steps and how exactly to do some of them. Most of the discussions of this topic on the forums are several months old so if there is some people out there with breakthroughs and methods of how to accomplish a distributed environment I would love some assistance. My basic goals are to establish a lab with the following: Zenoss-main - 192.168.1.x Zenoss-remote - 10.10.10.x Each system to be built using a VM for ease of lab testing, and in separate subnets behind firewalls to simulate real world. I can build just about any VM eniorment to accomplish the senario but need assistance in the configuration parameters of zenoss. Thank you. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=35154#35154 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
