Dear Mr. Matte, Thank you very much for your great post!
I did exactly what you said and the users aren't assigned to the correct roles. My setup was already the same that you've posted, except that I was using the Anonymous role instead of the ZenNone one (basically leveraging the same effect). What I found out is: the "Default Admin Role" is being correctly set based on the role mappings but what I need is the "Roles". I'll attach some screenshots of the problem: http://yfrog.com/5kzenmanagerj Here you can see on Zope that the user "zenmanager" is correctly mapped to the "ZenManager" role (and also to the Manager role, because Manager was set on the "Default User Roles", just for testing purposes. But for Zenoss, that user keeps tied to the Manager role, not to the ZenManager (only the "Default Admin Role" is set correctly. If I configure the "Default User Roles" as ZenNone or Anonymous, then the users can log in but they doesn't see a thing on the dashboard (even when their roles are set as Manager, ZenManager or ZenUser on the LDAP groups) Important: I'm using ActiveDirectory, not pure LDAP. Thank you very much!
