I've been having the same problem since I upgraded from Zenoss 2.3.3 to Zenoss 
2.4.1.

Originally, when I upgraded there was no zenjobs.conf file, so here's what I've 
got in mine:


> # Config file written out from GUI
> pcachedir /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss/var
> cycletime 60
> monitor localhost
> zopeurl http://localhost.localdomain:8080
> pcachesize 10
> dataroot /zport/dmd
> host localhost
> logseverity 20
> maxlogsize 10240
> cachesize 1000
> maxbackuplogs 3
> port 8101
> uid zenoss
> 


Also, I don't remember how I got this, there was nothing and then after 
clicking something->something->something ... I got what's here EXCEPT: port was 
not 8101, it was 8100.  Well, 8100 is the same port zeo is configured to run, 
so voila!  Source of error located ... once I made this change I was in 
business.


BTW, on the front end, the easiest way to make this correction is to:
(Left hand navigation)->Settings->Daemons->(zenjobs)->edit config

Copy and paste from above...make sure to change anything consistent with your 
setup.  I installed from stack installers with all the default settings.
