So, I have a lot of network devices sending traps successfully to Zenoss, which show up in class /Unknown (until I map them), except the one I really want (and possibly others)
The trap I'm looking for is Juniper's jnxCmCfgChange (configuration change trap) I know its reaching the server because if I run ngrep while testing, I see it arrive: Code: CTX34:~$ sudo ngrep -t -O ~/ngrep.dmp -d en1 '*' 'port 162' interface: en1 (72.123.84.0/255.255.255.0) filter: (ip) and ( port 162 ) match: * output: /Users/jrogers/ngrep.dmp # U 2009/07/17 18:57:33.641616 24.123.240.2:58946 -> 72.123.84.34:162 [email protected]..!..0..0...+.....l........c..!..0...+.....l...............;6.-..0...+.....L...........0...+.....L..........jrogers0 ..+.....L..........a test commit...| # U 2009/07/17 18:57:33.641618 24.123.240.2:58946 -> 72.123.84.34:162 0.......public.....bg.M......0..0...+.......C..!..0...+...........+.....L....0...+.....L........C..!..0...+.....L...............;6.-..0...+.....L...........0...+.....L..........jr ogers0 ..+.....L..........a test commit0...+...........+.....L......... 7359 received, 0 dropped This trap, however, doesn't show up in event console. Any ideas why? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=37047#37047 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
