OK... so looking for some community advice/examples here. How do you pull off Interface alerting with Zenoss?
The way I see it there are two methods here: 1) Zenoss goes out to poll and finds the operational status of the device is down. Using a threshold an event is created and alerted on. 2) Zenoss receives a syslog message or SNMP trap from a device which indicates an interface has gone down, this goes through a transform and becomes an event. So how are you doing it? I'm looking for the best solution to fit, I would want interface alerting from core routers, but not from switches. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=37154#37154 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
