I was wondering if anyone is using Zenoss to Monitor for Disk Failure, and if
so, how you went about doing it. That's my next big requirement for our Zenoss
deployment.

We're using mostly CentOS Linux, so the approaches that seems to be most
obvious would be:
1) Use smartd and parse the log files generated by it (by forwarding syslog to
Zenoss)
2) Use smartd and apply a patch to enable SNMP monitoring
3) Use smartd and configure it to send traps for specific events

Mostly I want to make sure I'm not missing other reasonable solutions before I
start trying to figure out how to actually make one these work.

As a note: currently I'm not sending my syslogs to Zenoss because there were
too many alerts last time I tried it and I'm still getting the hang of writing
event transforms.
