I suffer the same problem. I have tried zenhub workers, zope tweaks, mysql
tweaks and seperating mysqld to a separate box. I have two XEN VM hosts, and
all my ZenOSS machines are XEN paravirtualized guests running highly optimized
versions of CentOS 5.3.
