I believe you have hit upon one of the wonders of zenoss, the modeling process goes and figures out all the oids for the differenent interfaces and then sets up the oids for the interfaces to be polled. So you would have to write some sort of code that would duplicate this process, poll the device, get the list of interfaces, then use that list to poll each interface for the informantion your interested in.
